Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or micro needling, is a natural alternative to Botox injections. This service uses no injections or fillers, offering clients a safe, natural alternative to correct various skin challenges, while also providing better skin clarity and a natural, healthy glow. Skin Needling can be done on any area of the body, stomach, thighs, face and neck.
Women and men enjoy the benefits of Skin Needling for a variety of reasons:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Mild to moderate acne scarring or other scars
- Loose skin on the face, neck or décolleté area (upper chest, cleavage, shoulders)
- Uneven skin texture or large pores
- Stretch marks
- Cleft lip
- Freckle reduction
- Scar relaxation
- Face lift scars
- Crows feet
- Balanced complexion
- “Orange peel” chin
- Trauma scars.
The technician uses a very small needle and gently “scratches” the surface of the skin – “tricking” the brain into thinking there has been an injury. As a result, your body immediately generates its own collagen, elastin and proteins, sending it to the treated areas, essentially plumping and thickening the skin. CIT can be performed on any skin type. A topical anesthetic is used during the service to numb the area, and there is little to no downtime immediately following the treatment.
Skin Needling is less expensive, comes with less down time and is less damaging to the skin than laser resurfacing.
